LVSC Youth Shooting Club “Quarry Crushers” is an organization that provides youths in grades 5-12 the opportunity to safely and enjoyably participate and compete in one of the fastest growing sports in the United States today – Sporting Clays.

All levels of experience are welcome!

Program Goals:

• Teach the safe and responsible handling and use of firearms
• Provide a supportive team based environment, using clay target sports as the catalyst
• Introduce youths to a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime – one that offers a level playing field, and one that offers all family members an opportunity to participate.

• Free shooting instruction by LVSC Certified Instructors
• Discounted target fees
• Chance to meet other young people interested in shooting
• Practice and compete in team competitions and at the State Championship

Eligibility:

Students must be enrolled in a primary/elementary, middle, junior, or senior high school or an equivalent home school program to be eligible to participate.  They must be academically eligible to participate in their school’s extracurricular sports program.

How Much Does it Cost:

• There is a $100.00 registration fee to join the LVSC Youth Shooting Club “Quarry Crushers”.
• Current practice fees: $20.00 per 100 targets at LVSC
• SCTP Registration Fee (paid by Quarry Crushers)
• Shoot registration fees will vary per shoot
• Ammunition (available at special  SCTP pricing)
• NSCA registration fee ($10 or $20 depending on option chosen)
• Note: Fundraisers are held to help defer expenses.  If fundraising goals are met, all mandatory practice targets and State Shoot fees will be covered by Quarry Crushers.

Equipment Needed:

Shotgun.  Loaner guns are available at LVSC free of charge.  Must use our ammo.

Ammunition. You can bring your own ammo or purchase from LVSC at SCTP pricing.

Shooting Glasses. REQUIRED.  Glasses can be purchased from LVSC for as little as $10.00.

Shooting Vest or Shell Bag. Not required but highly recommended.  Available for purchase in our Pro-Shop.

Ear Protection.  REQUIRED. Foam ear buds available at the counter.
